Morgan Tank.
A hands-on robot project and a place to explore how hardware and software work together. Building, testing, making changes and learning as we go.
Robot experiments, homemade sensors and a tank called Morgan. We’re getting hands-on with robotics today — and exploring how to help more people put robots to work tomorrow.
On the workbench ↗A hands-on robot project and a place to explore how hardware and software work together. Building, testing, making changes and learning as we go.
Making sensors and experimenting with electronics: exploring how machines can sense the world around them, one circuit at a time.
Trying ideas, finding the limits and asking what a robot could actually help with. Practical experience now, with more experiments to share as the yard grows.
Our ambition is to bring different robots together for supervised demonstrations, business trials and hands-on learning. Start with curiosity. Discover what is useful.
We plan to help people explore the right robot for the job, with practical trials, setup and operator training as the business develops.
We're investigating local ownership support, maintenance and repairs, built on the right technical training, access to parts and manufacturer relationships.
Robot Yard is taking shape in Sheffield, founded by Chris Downham and connected to GeminAI. Today, it’s a home for hands-on experiments. Our longer-term ambition is to help people experience, choose and run useful robots — through demonstrations, sales, leasing, training and support as our capabilities grow.
Planned experiences include supervised demonstration days and opportunities to compare different kinds of robot. Dates and booking will follow once the first sessions are ready.
We’re at the experimenting and planning stage. Commercial demonstrations, sales, leasing and repair services are not yet available. Interested in the journey or a supplier conversation?
